Ok, I have been lurking long enough. Howdy Maousel.

On "generic" skills and "class" skills;

Everyone here seems to be forgetting something.
Buying those skills does not JUST get you skills; it
gets you a fraterinty to which you belong and have
obligations to. Most of them historically had dues,
scheduled events, and missions they had to perform.

Foresters were "kings men" and were Obligated to
fight for the lands they held authority over. If they
did not, it was Treason. Even mythological elven
societies had these groups who mimiced Human society.

Executioners were despised, yet respected whithin
their community. However they were shunned by almost
every other community in the land. They were periah,
just as the whores were. After all would YOU trust a
"child" who had killed dozen of people on command?
Also, such things were usually beneigth the "Diginity"
of the fey races, it was strictly a human debasement.

Assassins, well, the only way "out" of the original
historical band of true assassins was to "gain
paradise". In actuallity over 2/3 of the "guild" was
killed by other guild members due to in-fighting or
mis-trust. They were Fanatics who thought they were
justified. They held great power, as attested to by
the Myth that has sprung up about them that most Want
to believe. (sort of like the romantacism of the word
"Pirate")

All of these multi-skill "classes" are actually
fraternities to which one must pay dues. They are a
GM's tools to force the players into circumstance they
would not willing enter.

 Use them, don't fear them.
