This pops up now and again. A short explanation. The standard setting for
new members on this list is NOACK NOREPRO, meaning no acknowledgement and
no copy of own postings. So if you send a message to the list, it is sent
to all members of the list, excluding yourself. You never see your own
postings then.

It is possible to change this default behaviour. From the page
http://geo.citg.tudelft.nl/broere/pnp/Archives/powers-and-perils.html
follow the link 'join or leave the list (or change settings)'. Here you can
select to get a short receipt or your complete posting if you post to the
list, and some other settings as well.

There is some further explanation on this available on these pages too.
