I believe all eight of the base characteristics, with appearance and
constitution, are essential. For characters in a role that demands surviving
on wits and quick witted response, eloquence is essential. What it would
seem the system may need is rules that highlight the in game applications of
various stats and, in the case of E, more skills for which it is essential.
