I used it in some versions as a pure sound sphere that avoided sound.  So
you sit inside and hear nothing outside.  Thus interrogations and screams can
have fun in spheres.  But it could be reversed in other versions that
inside your fine but outside there is some noise but that was silly so
don't think I ever used it that way.
