I read your suggested revisions. E-books, I am discovering, are not much of
a money maker. They are an easy, inexpensive method of getting the product
out however. Given the state of nil finance I operate under, the only viable
alternative.
I have modified your suggested change to the letter. Let me know your
opinion. As to th monetary figures, I am aware of royalty structures. Avalon
Hill's base royalty was 2%. Only sure winners got 5 and only people they
felt they had to deal with got 10.
This given, I will reduce the offer to them to 10 and 25 respectively.
Better to start low if a negotiation ensues anyway.
To me this is a personal endeavor to perfect a work that is dear to me.
I expect little or nothing from the project beyond satisfaction. The
possibility of financial success with it will help provide impetus to myself
and my volunteers. It is my belief that Powers and Perils is one of the
finest fantasy role playing systems ever written. It is attractive to a
small, discerning segment of the gaming public. Its design has room for
improvement in structure and implementation. After improvement the game will
attract a larger segment of the gaming population. I wish to perfect it and
make this fact clear to anyone who is interested in taking a look.
I delay sending the letter until Tuesday. Get me any final feedback you
have.
