Simple answer is folks get distracted and busy.  I'm just now getting to something Burton sent me 4 months ago.  Priorities and such dictate life.  I   assume you've done an extensive web search since doing a quick search my self just now I see tons of sites on possible origins and definitions.  Oh well.  Good luck.
