Thanks for the kind 
words and fitting tribute.  I think Richard touched a lot of us folks that had a 
passion for this most amazing game he created.  I can tell you he was amazed so 
many people were still playing his game after such a long time, it gave him a 
lot of validation of his original dream that AH marketed poorly, would not 
support and let die a shameful early death.  Finding out so many people loved 
the game and how it effected a lot of peoples lives, reversed a lot of years of 
bitterness and his own self-worth.  I am most certain he is flattered to know he 
will be missed and that peoples love of the game, will keep his legacy alive and 
strong.
 
It's been really 
hard for me personally, in addition to sharing everyones passion here, to the 
point of badgering Richard years ago for all those original notes, unused rules 
and game stuff... I lost a wonderful friend who was a major part of my life from 
when we both lived together in Baltimore years ago, to when we both relocated to 
other parts of the country and kept in constant touch.  Certainly the smartest 
person I have ever known, and one of the most kind.  I still can not believe he 
is gone.
