Well... as a personal friend of his and his family and his wife, I'd think my posting the news to the group would be verification enough, and well hardly the kind of thing I feel anyone would joke about...

All,
I am truly saddened to hear such news of Richard Snider's passing. Could someone please verify this?
This game Powers & Perils, is my first roleplaying game, and the game by which every other game I have played, DM, or even developed is measured against.

God Speed,

Like I said earlier, I've sent Mr. Snider about 4 or so e-mails over the
past year (i.e., roughly a year, almost). He has not bothered to show me the
respect of responding in any way, shape, or form.

Why? Does he HAVE TO? Absolutely not. Of course not. However, what is the
point on including yourself on a special-interest mailing list of fellow
enthusiasts and displaying some kind of apparent quasi-elitist aloofness? I
have priorities in my life as well, and one of them is showing common
courtesy.

Well, perhaps because, my friend, and creator of the game, someone who was kind enough to let me help play test
the game so many decades ago... passed away a few months back, and prior to that, was severaly ill.

I'm sure it will be a shock to most of you has as its been for many months now for me. I have not been active here
in years myself, (I can't even remember my password anymore so had to
create a new user name) and peeked in to see if anyone
had mentioned the news... needless to say, I was a bit irritated by the post, though I am trying not to take it personally.

Suffice to say, Richard had a LOT on his mind though out the tail end of 2008 and most of 2009 prior to his dying... you not
getting a reply was not anything personal or you specifically being ignored.
