[PnP] Intelligence

Hiya.

What I've always attributed it to is that Richard took a look at what
would likely be the "most common things" males vs. females (in human
terms) did in a world such as Perilous Lands. From what I gather, the
men did most of the heavy labor. They also were the merchants, leaders,
inventors, teachers, etc. The women did the 'at home stuff' like
constant cleaning, child rearing, cooking, etc. In other words, men
would have a higher Strength and Intelligence, while women would have a
higher Stamina, Will and Empathy. The rest is biology (well, male
Strength could also be in there...probably why it's a +3 and not just a
+1); men are larger but less agile, women generally have a better
constitution and are more agile, etc.

But, as someone said, you can always just let a player choose which
column to use Male or Female...representing how/where/what focus they
were brought up in. I've never done that and I've never had a problem
from my players (at times, mostly female, but almost always at least 1
or 2 females in the group), but it seems like an excellent compromise. :)
