To Batter Doors

The following rule handles object destruction, use it with care and adapt to handle various situations.

Determine the primary matter of the target item (or combination of primary matters) and the quality of the destruction tool. The following table gives a Base attack factor based on the combination of target and tool.

The R (resistance) for an item = thickness (in cm) x basic R x (1d6-1d6) x 10%. The attack factor and R are modified by :

Compute the attack factor keeping one decimal. The attack value without a tool = (Attack x S) /3. The attack value with a tool = Attack x [S+ D]/2.

If the attack value < 2x [basic item R] then no damage can be inflicted, no roll needed. Otherwise use a D100 per series of attacks on the target item:

Each time the dice rolled (units or tens) produce a ‘0’, the tool loses 1 R and the attack value loses 1 too. At R=0 the tool is broken.

Each time a Twine or Wood item loses 10% of his initital R, roll D100 (number of 10% R lost x5) to break it.
